Friday Wrap-Up at My Place!

What a fun-filled week we had! Our kiddos have been busy learning, exploring, creating, and enjoying time with their friends!

We’ve been taking advantage of the beautiful weather with lots of outdoor play, fresh air, and opportunities to explore our surroundings. Gross motor fun! From running and climbing to jumping, balancing, and getting those wiggles out, our friends have been building strength and coordination while having a blast!

We’ve also been working on those important social skills, talking with friends, sharing ideas, listening to one another, taking turns, and learning how to work through those little challenges that come with being part of a group.

There has been so much learning through play, curiosity, movement, and friendship happening throughout our classrooms this week!

We hope all of our My Place families have a wonderful weekend! We’ll see everyone next week for more fun and learning! 💕

🐾🐶 Happy National Dog Day! 🐶🐾

Today we celebrate our furry friends who bring so much love, happiness, and companionship into our lives! Dogs have a special way of becoming part of our families and creating memories that last a lifetime. ❤️

At My Place, we often hear the sweetest stories from our kiddos about their pets — from funny things their dogs do, to adventures they share at home, and all the way their furry family members make them smile. We love hearing about the special bond children have with their pets! 🐕✨

What a fun-filled week it has been at My Place! 💙 Our kiddos have been busy exploring, creating, playing, and making the most of these summer days!

We’ve enjoyed lots of time outside—running, climbing, playing, discovering, and enjoying everything our outdoor spaces have to offer. 🌳🛝☀️

Our classrooms have also been busy with fun crafts and creative activities, giving our little artists plenty of opportunities to explore their creativity and make some special masterpieces! 🎨✂️🖍️

From outdoor adventures to classroom fun, there has been plenty of learning through play, exploring, and making memories all week long. 🥰

Do you enjoy cooking, staying organized, and making sure children have nutritious and delicious meals? My Place: A Play and Learning Center is looking for TWO part-time Kitchen Coordinators to join our team!

We are currently looking for:
🥣 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
🍎 11:00 AM–4:30 PM

Both positions have the potential for additional hours as needed. The Kitchen Coordinator helps prepare and serve meals, maintain food and kitchen supplies, support CACFP requirements, keep our kitchen clean and organized, and so much more!

💰 $16.00–$17.40/hour
📍 Watkins Glen, NY
⏰ Part-time, year-round

☀️ A Big Thank-You to Our Summer Staff! ☀️

Summer is one of our busiest and most exciting times of the year, filled with special activities, field trips, swimming, and plenty of fun! We are incredibly grateful to have had six returning summer staff members come back to support our program this year. These familiar faces have become true summer “veterans,” and their experience, flexibility, and dedication help everything run smoothly and effectively during such a busy season.

We also want to recognize all of our wonderful summer team members as they prepare to return to college or school. Thank you, Miss Hannah, Mr. Sam, Miss Nevaeh, Miss Gabby C., Miss Gabby P., Miss Shakira, Miss Lajza, Mr. Jacob, and Miss Miley, for the energy, care, and enthusiasm you brought to our children and programs this summer.

📅 Order forms & payment are due September 4th.
📍 Pick-up will be after September 18th at Perfect Cut & Landscaping Garden Center, 3231 St. Rt. 329, Watkins Glen, NY.

Mum colors will be selected randomly based on the grower's availability and may include red, yellow, orange, white, and pinkish/purple.

☀️🍦 Friday Wrap-Up at My Place! 🍦☀️

What a fun-filled week we’ve had! With beautiful summer weather, we’ve been taking every opportunity to get outside, explore our community, and make some special memories together. 💙

🏊‍♀️ Our School Age friends had a blast spending time at the State Park pool and enjoyed a walking trip to the Glen Dairy Bar for some yummy ice cream! 🍦

🦆🍧 Our Preschool friends enjoyed popsicles at the lake while spending some time watching and enjoying the company of our feathered friends—the ducks! They’ve also had SO much fun running, climbing, and playing on the playground. ☀️

🚶‍♀️🚌 Our younger friends have been busy exploring too! They’ve enjoyed getting out into the community for walks and taking buggy rides around town, taking in all the sights and sounds along the way. 💛

And after all that fun and adventure… nap time has been a big hit! 😴😂 There’s nothing quite like a busy day of summer fun followed by a nice, restful nap!
