Had a great private lesson with Sara today. Ugh - she drove to class 🚙 I’ve been teaching her since she was little. Oh my.
Anyhow she did amazing on her first day on the wheel! 3 good throws! Trimming and glazing to come!

Sharing these really great coil pots in a mold made just today. Some nice patterns from 3 really awesome artists. Lots of laughs today. When I told them they got to use a tennis ball though- they had that puzzled look...
Now to dry and get ready for bisque firing.

I'm still feeling a little helpless with covid19- but I feel like my contribution can be my passion. I hope the art projects I am sharing are reaching people. They are supplies you hopefully already have at home.
This video is Dinosaur Fossils- this is part 2 of salt dough (part 1- mixing the dough was posted earlier).
The next post will also be salt dough, but making animal figures.

Chocolate Printmaking- At Home Edition
Hi Artists!
Here is an art lesson for you followers- as you are at home under quarantine. Have mercy on me as I am not so great at filming yet! I am sure your "parent teachers" are being great art teachers, but I really wanted to join in the fun and give you something creative to do as well!
This lasts about 25 minutes and feel free to pause as needed ( to get supplies or a bathroom pass, lol!)

Home school teaching parents: are you ready to let me teach your kids so you can get a break?!
Well let's do it! I will be posting some fun art tutorials this week that use 'at home' materials. These can be adapted to various grade levels. The kids can watch and work with me and can even pause the video.
I also have some high school level project tutorials. Let me know if you are interested in those and I can send those.
