Auditions for SAGITTARIUS PONDEROSA this Thursday!

Open auditions for Sagittarius Ponderosa by MJ Kaufman will be held in Studio 1 in the Gordon Center on Thursday, February 5th from 5:30–7:30pm. The play is a tender, funny, and dreamlike story about family, identity, and the search for transformation. Auditions will take the form of a text-and-movement workshop—no experience necessary—so please dress to move and wear closed-toe shoes.

The rehearsal process will involve two to three evening rehearsals a week, scheduled with cast conflicts in mind. The piece includes opportunities for both actors and dancers to showcase their skills, grow, and have fun; the process will be generative, focused, and rooted in playfulness.

Guest Artist Catherine Stewart is an award-winning playwright, director, choreographer, and educator whose collaborative, movement-integrated approach to new work invites curiosity, rigor, and creative experimentation. Crew and production roles are also available, including choreography, dramaturgy, and more. Open to the entire Colby student community—come explore a beautiful play about becoming yourself.

FMI or to sign up for an audition, email Catherine Stewart at [email protected]

Walk-in auditioners are also welcome, no prep necessary. All levels of experience welcome!

SAGITTARIUS PONDEROSA is presented through special arrangement with TRW PLAYS 1180 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 640, New York, NY, 10036. www.trwplays.com
