It's graduation season! We get a list from the Waterville School District on which of our former Educare kiddos are graduating, but not from other schools. As a memento of the time these children spent here and how proud we are of their accomplishments, we would love to get a small but special gift to your former Educare child to wear during their graduation. Please comment below if your child is graduating from high school this year and we will make arrangements to get this gift to them!

A handful of our teachers spent the day at Camden-Rockport Elementary School today as they attended the In Bloom in Maine conference. The In Bloom conference is an annual professional development event focused on nature-based and outdoor early childhood education. Hosted by Antioch University in partnership with regional environmental groups, the one-to-day event brings together educators, naturalists, and administrators to explore the physical and emotional benefits of taking learning outside.

Two of our teachers, Jackie Thibodeau and Cheyenne Poulin led “Little Explorers, Big Adventures: Nature Play for Infants and Toddlers”, a hands-on outdoor workshop to support professionals to embrace the elements and let nature be the guide by getting messy with mud, exploring textures, and the sensations of nature through the eyes of Infants and Toddlers.

Today we celebrate some very special little learners as our public preschool children officially spread their wings and head off to kindergarten! 🎓❤️
It feels like just yesterday they were arriving with tiny backpacks, big feelings, and endless curiosity. Since then, we’ve watched them grow into confident, creative, kind, and capable children who are more than ready for their next adventure.

We are so proud of each and every one of them and so grateful to the families who trusted us to be part of these important early years. While our hearts are a little emotional saying goodbye, we are so excited to watch these amazing children continue to learn, grow, and shine in kindergarten and beyond.

Once an Educare kiddo, always part of the Educare family. 💛🍎✨

If you have photos of your little graduate, please feel free to post them here!

🛠🌿 Calling all helpers, builders, dreamers, and outdoor adventurers! 🌿🛠

We’re gearing up for an exciting Outdoor Work Day and would LOVE help from our teachers, families, former families, friends, and community members as we transform our outdoor spaces into even more magical places for children to learn and play.

We’ll be tackling projects like:
✨ Creating exploration trails
✨ Building gathering and play spaces
✨ Planting wildflowers and greenery
✨ Clearing brush and broken items
✨ Adding climbing, balancing, and tool-use areas

If you have tools like rakes, loppers, shovels, wheelbarrows, drills, work gloves, or clippers — bring them along!

Whether you can stay all day or just stop by for a bit, every helping hand makes a difference. Together, we can create beautiful spaces filled with wonder, adventure, and discovery for our children. 💚

Come ready to get a little dirty, work hard, laugh lots, and make something amazing together!

Even though we woke up to a chilly surprise this morning, summer sunshine is still right around the corner!
Today is National “Don’t Fry Day” so as the temperatures warm up, remember to “Block the sun, not the fun!” 🌞🧴 Protect yourself and your little ones from harmful rays by wearing sunscreen, rocking those sun hats, and finding shady spots to play.
And don’t forget… SPF is your BFF! 😎💛

This past week, a group of Educare Maine teachers, leaders, family support staff, and parents had the incredible opportunity to attend Catalyst 26, the Educare National Network Summit, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Throughout the week, our team participated in inspiring panels, engaged in meaningful facilitated conversations, got reminded of the power of love and reading by Eric Litwin- the author of Pete the Cat, and toured both Educare Tulsa at Celia Clinton and Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District.
We returned home feeling energized, reflective, and deeply inspired by the powerful individuals, shared learning, and unwavering mission of the Educare Network. We are grateful for the opportunity to grow together as we continue our work in support of children, families, and communities.
