Our Adopt-a-Teacher program was such a wonderful success last time that the MPS PTA is bringing it back!

As many of you know, Memorial Park Elementary is currently undergoing a major facelift. While everyone is excited about the improvements, we know our incredible faculty and staff will be returning to a school filled with changes, construction, and plenty of adjustments.

Let's help make their first week back a little brighter! 💜💛

🎒 Get Ready for a New School Year! 🦅

Incoming sixth and seventh grade students and their families, as well as Jr./Sr. High School students and families who are new to Waterville CSD, are invited to attend 6th and 7th Grade Orientation on Wednesday, August 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Waterville Jr./Sr. High School. 🏫👋

This is a great opportunity for students and families to become familiar with the building, learn more about the upcoming school year and prepare for a successful transition to the next grade level.

We look forward to welcoming our newest Jr./Sr. High School students! 💜💛🦅

Tomorrow is the last day to drop off donations of school supplies! Donations can be brought to the front desk during open hours.

All donations will then be organized and distributed during Lemonade on the Lawn on Thursday evening. Our PTA friends have offered to help go through WCSD supply lists and send you with what you need. You can look for their smiling faces (and listen for their good humor) Thursday evening.

We'll see you tonight for our last big summer hurrah! Before you get back to those scheduled routines, take a moment to slow down and savor a summer night out. Bring a blanket or chair, stroll through, and enjoy the night in the best way that works for you.

While you're here, be sure to stop by the Kids Market! It's like a sidewalk lemonade stand all grown up, stocked with all sorts of handmade and creative options priced to sell (while the library offers lemonade and popcorn for free). Kids have been working hard to give being an entrepreneur a try, and your support (as able) is greatly appreciated. Kind words alone go a long way!

Enjoy the music the Chickadee Sisters, tour the Barton-Brown Observatory with the Mohawk Valley Astronomical Society, play in the Story Yard, nab some school supplies, and more. Plus, as the skies darken, enjoy a Perseid meteor shower watch party with MVAS (weather permitting).

*Please note that Dinosaur Devoted is unable to attend as originally scheduled on our summer calendar.

The MPS PTA Dunk Tank is BACK, and we're officially looking for 11 brave souls willing to take the plunge!

😏 Anyone the kids would really enjoy sending into a tank of water...

If you're brave enough to climb into the tank, send us a message! We'll get you signed up for a time slot that works best for you.

And, as always, a HUGE and heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has volunteered to be dunked—past and present! 💜💛 Your willingness to get soaked in the name of our students has helped make this fundraiser a HUGE success year after year.

And let's be real... it's also barrels of fun for the kids—and maybe even more fun for their parents. 😉💦
