MMTC Preschool and Playgroup

Waterville Creates, in partnership with the Waterville Public Library and Colby College, is thrilled to present a multi-venue family-friendly event on March 16 featuring the work of author Mo Willems and an appearance from The Pigeon himself!

From 10–11am the Waterville Public Library will host a read aloud activity of The Pigeon Will Ride the Roller Coaster by Mo Willems, Pigeon himself in attendance, and a giveaway of free copies of the book.

Pigeon will flutter from the library to the Paul J. Schupf Arts Center to lead a free group art-making activity from Willems’ book, We Are in an Art-ivity Book!, and distribute free copies of said book!

Mo Willems Workshop

Yesterday the Preschoolers visited the construction program. The construction high school students helped the preschool children build a utility box with their name on it. Thank you Mr. Champagne, Mr. Whittemore, and the construction class for having the preschoolers. Such an amazing opportunity for everyone invvolved.

Today we learned what a tadpole is and got to watch them swim around the tank. There are also frog eggs in the tank. We will continue to watch the eggs and tadpoles transform into frogs over the next few weeks.

Random Act of Kindness Week. The preschool children made snacks and cards for MMTC staff, they made kindness rocks and placed them around the school, and today they helped our amazing custodian, Mr. Allen, clean.

The early childhood students and preschool children made Valentine’s Day cards for Hearts for Hospice Challenge.
