From classroom to Capitol Hill, Sarahjane Call ’19 is making an impact.

Now serving as a Committee Management Specialist with the Department of Homeland Security, Sarahjane helps oversee 26 advisory councils that bring public insight into key government decisions before they are made.

She credits Thomas College for opening doors she never knew existed, including her experience with The Washington Center program in Washington, D.C., which helped launch her career path.

“Thomas was nothing short of amazing,” she shared. “It gave me the chance to be an athlete, build lifelong friendships, meet my husband, and try things I never would have otherwise.”

Her advice? Choose a place that offers more than a degree. Choose a community, opportunities, and experiences that stay with you long after graduation.

Meet Emily Wallingford of Minot, Maine, a recent graduate of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Thomas College.

After completing her undergraduate degree at Thomas College, Emily chose to continue her education through the MBA program, building on the strong foundation and community she had already experienced.

While earning her graduate degree, Emily balanced the demands of being a full-time student and working full time as an Accountant at Sheridan Construction Corporation, an accomplishment she is especially proud of.

Emily believes her MBA has strengthened her understanding of business theories and strategies, helping prepare her for continued growth in her career.

Outside of work and academics, she is passionate about skiing, golf, soccer, and lacrosse.

A father and daughter graduating together this year, Mackenzie Toner '26 and Tom Toner '99 MBA '26 are sharing a truly special milestone as members of the Thomas College community.

Tom is a highly supportive father who consistently goes above and beyond, often helping Mackenzie practice outside of her team’s regular softball sessions. His encouragement and commitment have been a steady source of support throughout her academic and athletic journey.

Mackenzie is graduating with degrees in marketing and accounting, marking an exciting step forward as she continues into her MBA program. Together, their shared accomplishment highlights dedication, perseverance, and the strength of family support within the Thomas College experience.
