Dear Hosmer Families and Caregivers,

Each year, we are mindful of how many requests families receive for donations and fundraising. That’s why the Hosmer PTO asks for monetary support just one time per year — through our annual Boosterthon GlowRun this February. Our hope is that having one main fundraiser helps families feel less stretched and less obligated to contribute multiple times throughout the school year.

All funds raised go directly back to Hosmer and support student and staff enrichment, including events like Popsicles with the Principal, Harvestfest, Movie Night, Literacy Week, Multicultural Month and Field Day, as well as teacher classroom reimbursements and $10 per student toward field trip costs.

We ask that you please take a moment to register your child, and consider donating and/or sharing your fundraising page with family and friends. We are aiming for high student participation, for every student registered, the Hosmer school receives perks, prizes, and incentives so make sure you register ASAP!

This week-long fundraiser is a fun, engaging way to bring our community together while supporting our school. Help us reach our various goals:

60% Registration - Mustache Day (Everyone gets and wears a silly stick-on mustache.)
Donations from 15 Countries - Schoolwide Superhero Day (Dress up as a fictional or real-life superhero)
Raise $17,000 - Rock, Paper, Scissors Class Color Showdown (Staff dress in their "color" and play "Rock, Paper, Scissors". The classes with the winning color will win a Color Dance Party!

It’s hard to believe winter break is almost over. Wednesday the Hosmer PTO will have their quarterly meeting. We will offer an in-person meeting at both 8:30 am, and 6:30 pm.

Our guest speaker this Wednesday January 7th, is Gary Beatty, the Executive Director for the Watertown Boys and Girls Club. He will talk about after school options and the new KidConnect, as well as the summer camps that the club provides.

We hope you can join us this Wednesday and get a jump on your summer camp plans.

The 5th grade class would like to Thank everyone for their support!! 134 tickets were sold for Musical Bingo.
If you would like to bring a donation for the Watertown Food Pantry tomorrow night, you will receive a raffle ticket to put towards any basket.
