Our Roots & Shoots program has a new face! Please help us to welcome Catherine Drietz to the Zoo family. Caitey will be the R&S Girls Rule instructor and she has some great things planned for Summer Roots & Shoots at the Bramble Park Zoo. She will host classes for grades K-2, 3-6 and 7-9!

Sign-up for summer programs will begin Easter Monday, April 10th at 8:00am!

Today the team's service learning project was to paint warning signs on the storm drains in town to remind people not to dump trash or chemicals down them. These drains lead to the Big Sioux River. Sign
Pro helped the kids make their own designs and printed the stencils for us. We couldn't have done it without this great business!

The Roots and Shoots team has been busy making projects to promote conservation and habitat preservation. They have built rain collection barrels, birdhouses and compost bins.

Week 2: The Roots and Shoots crew found out all about composting from the Watertown Regional Landfill! Then they started creating their very own compost bins. Stay tuned for the finished results.
