Maryella and Elizabeth Annal were sweet, beautiful, bright lights. At Little Lukes, we were blessed with the honor of seeing & supporting them in their growth from infancy all the way through preschool. While they outgrew our program, they remained in our hearts and we cherished the years, the many moments and memories, that we enjoyed with them.
Their parents, Maureen and Tom, were among the most devoted of parents. Their entire world revolved around their girls, and it was impossible not to see how much love filled their family.
On September 3, 2020, the Annals were traveling on the New York State Thruway when their minivan was rear-ended by a truck that failed to slow for construction. Tom and Maureen were seriously injured, and their beautiful daughters, Maryella and Elizabeth, tragically did not survive.
In honor of their daughters, Maureen and Tom have chosen to live by the words “Do the next right thing.” Through Annal’s Angels Inc., they provide scholarships in memory of Maryella and Elizabeth and support opportunities that foster literacy, a love of learning, libraries, parks, and the joy of childhood.
The annual Annal’s Angels 5k & Koala Krawl Fun Run are coming up and we’re trying to show record numbers in support at the Koala Krawl Fun Run for kids 10 and under - we hope you’ll join us!
