At East Hill Farm, Atrium’s sixth graders were immersed earlier this week in animal husbandry, sustainability, and farm-to-table concepts, learning through the real, dirt-under-the-fingernails work of running a New England farm. Together, students cleaned and cared for the livestock, carded wool, collected eggs, and much more. Their overnight field trip each fall is a key bonding experience for the new middle schoolers and kicks off a year of deep, engaging hands-on learning.
