🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ Our 3rd graders had a wheel-y awesome time learning about bike safety with the help of the Watertown Police Department! Officers teamed up with students to teach important bike safety skills and then helped them put those lessons into practice by riding bikes right on the playground.

Thank you to our local officers for taking the time to support our students and help keep our Schurz Tigers safe both in and out of school! 🐯💙

Our 4th grade students stepped back in time recently at the Horicon Living History Days! Students experienced history through hands-on learning with reenactors representing a variety of time periods and cultures.

From watching a blacksmith at work and learning about candle making to exploring wigwams, antique farm equipment, and old-fashioned toys, students had the opportunity to see history come alive right before their eyes. They also met interpreters portraying life during the French and Indian War, the Civil War, and World Wars I and II.

Experiences like these help students connect classroom learning to the real world in meaningful and memorable ways. Thank you to the organizers, reenactors, and volunteers who made this incredible day possible!

Blooming memories and special moments at Schurz! 🌸☕

Our Garden Club recently hosted their annual “Bouquet and Tea, Mom and Me” event after school. Garden Club members invited a special adult guest to join them for an afternoon filled with creativity, connection, and fun. Together, students and their guests created beautiful flower bouquets while enjoying tea and conversation.

What a wonderful way to celebrate relationships, creativity, and the joy of spending time together. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this special Garden Club tradition possible! 🌷💐

🌿 Adventure Awaits at Horicon Marsh! 🦆

Our 3rd graders traded the classroom for the great outdoors today with an unforgettable field trip to Horicon Marsh!

From spotting migratory birds to exploring the winding boardwalks, our young naturalists had a blast diving into Wisconsin’s incredible ecosystem. It wasn't just a day away from desks; it was a day of hands-on discovery and a whole lot of wonder.
