"Project Timothy Alaska team members served as counselors at Camp Luther - a youth camp run by the WELS congregations in the greater Anchorage area. Middle school students attended Camp Luther for week-long camp, spending their nights in rustic cabins and their days participating in Bible studies and developing outdoor skills like archery, air rifle shooting, and boating. Every day closed with campfire, songs, and a devotion. Team members also found time to climb mountains, see glaciers, and enjoy the natural beauty of Alaska. Project Timothy Alaska concluded with the opportunity to lead Sunday worship through readings and music at Faith Lutheran in Anchorage.ā€ - Chaperone, Prof. Kyle Bitter

"Our Project Timothy group had a great week in Montrose, Colorado! We spent the week helping out with their Bible Soccer and Art Camp, where students used their gifts to help lead over 100 children in soccer drills and games, growing their art skills, and learning about Godā€™s Word. Throughout the week we were able to enjoy many after-camp activities including hiking and visiting mountain towns, swimming in natural springs, and spending time with the congregation members. ā€œOur Project Timothy group had an amazing week serving down in Waco, Texas! We worked together with Christ Our Refuge on a community food drive, spent many hours canvassing, and volunteered at the Chamber of Commerce. Our crew also had many fun activities spread out throughout the week which included exploring downtown Austin, cliff jumping, a waterpark, hiking, going to Chip and Joannaā€™s siloā€™s, and trying authentic Texas barbecue. We thank God for the wonderful people of Christ our Refuge who welcomed us into their homes and provided us with meals for the week. Project Timothy Tampa had the best time serving at Northdale Lutheranā€™s 5 day VBS, playing piano and singing in their church service, and canvassing for their new Spanish church service. Throughout the week they also got to eat meals at many members houses and enjoy time at the beach, the Tampa Aquarium, and Busch Gardens! Thank you and Godā€™s Blessings to everyone at Northdale!

"Project Timothy Las Cruces had an incredible time in New Mexico! Students worked closely with the members at Cross of Christ leading a kids soccer camp and collecting donations for their annual food drive. Godā€™s love was evident in their words and actions throughout the trip no matter what they were doing. We enjoyed many hiking excursions, buffered by delicious dining with members, including stops at White Sands National Park, Cloudcroft, and Slot Canyon. ā€œOur Project Timothy group had an amazing week serving down south at Christ Our Redeemer in El Paso, Texas! Our group helped out with a community food drive: going door to door and collecting food, as well as touring the childrenā€™s home that we would be donating to. Our group also participated in other church projects throughout the week, including writing thank-yous for all who donated. We enjoyed the sights and sounds of the surrounding area: a concert in a valley, touring a national park, and sledding down white sand dunes. The group also got the chance to try authentic Mexican food (and candy!) The members of Christ Our Redeemer were incredibly warm and welcoming to our group, as we participated in their Bible Class and Worship, and we got the chance to have many different meaningful conversations with them. Godā€™s richest blessings to our brothers and sisters in El Paso as they continue to spread Godā€™s Word!ā€
