In preparation for the new academic year, the WPS Admin team were guided in an Art Project workshop this past Thursday August 27th. This was led by our Lowell Art Educator, Ms. Chroneos. It was very therapeutic and also FUN!

We are excited to share that Chelsea and her family attended the Watertown Human Rights Commission award ceremony during the School Committee meeting at Lowell Elementary School yesterday evening.
Chelsea received a $100 award for winning the logo contest, and her logo will be featured on the Commission's website in the future.

We are very proud of Chelsea and her accomplishments. If you see her in the hallways, please join us in congratulating her on this well-deserved recognition!

In September of 2025, Rick Saunders was contacted by Vietnam Veteran and former Watertown High School graduate, Robert Deluca. Robert had a photo of six Watertown High School graduates who were all serving in Vietnam at the same time. The six had a brief but happy reunion in Vietnam where this picture was taken.
Robert asked about the possibility of having a high school art student paint a portrait based on the photo.
Watertown High School Art Educator, Angela Fitzpatrick, worked with junior Zoe Star Raymond on the project. Zoe did an amazing job rendering the photo to canvas.

Zoe did an amazing job and was able to meet Robert. Different generations of Watertown High School students came together to render an artistic portrait of a special moment in time.
