What is social-emotional development?
Children need strong social-emotional skills for everyday life and success in school. These skills provide children with the tools they need to be themselves. They also help children make friends, and become good at working, playing, and learning together.

All social-emotional skills take time to learn, and it is important to start when children are young. Even babies are developing these skills! Your child can practice social-emotional skills through
play and everyday interactions. But they need your love, support, and patience too!
O que é desenvolvimento socioemocional?
As crianças precisam de fortes habilidades socioemocionais para o dia a dia e para o sucesso na escola. Essas habilidades fornecem às crianças as ferramentas necessárias para serem elas mesmas. Elas também ajudam as crianças a fazer amigos e a se tornarem boas em trabalhar, brincar e aprender juntas.
Todas as habilidades socioemocionais levam tempo para serem aprendidas, e é importante começar quando as crianças são pequenas. Até mesmo os bebês estão desenvolvendo essas habilidades! Need to apply for child care benefits?
