🌱🌻 A little seed can do big things! Week 8 of the Summer Reading Roadshow is planting some roots! ✨
We are rolling up to the front entrance of Poyner Elementary this Tuesday, July 28 at 11:30 AM for a storytime all about growth, change, and second chances! 🏫

This week, we are reading the smash-hit favorite The Bad Seed by Jory John! 📖He’s got a bad temper, bad manners, and a seriously bad attitude—but is he really all that bad? This hilarious and heartwarming story is a wonderful reminder that we aren't defined by our past mistakes, and with a little determination, anyone can choose to grow into a "good seed"! 🌻❤️

To bring the story's powerful lesson to life, we are going completely green! We’re going beyond the pages with a hands-on gardening activity where kids will get to plant their very own seeds in plastic cups to take home and watch grow! 🪴

Bring the kids out to enjoy a great story, get their hands a little dirty, and grab a delicious free lunch! 🍏 Just a reminder that a grown-up needs to stay on-site for the fun. See you at Poyner!

🖍️🎨A colorful protest is coming to town! Week 7 of the Summer Reading Roadshow is on the way! ✨
We are rolling into the front entrance of Highland Elementary this Tuesday, July 21 at 11:30 AM for a storytime full of big personalities and bright colors! 🏫

This week, we are diving into the hilarious bestseller The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt! 🖍️ Imagine opening your box of crayons only to find a stack of letters saying they've had enough! Red is exhausted from working holidays, Blue needs a break from coloring all that water, and Yellow and Orange are no longer speaking because they both claim to be the color of the sun! It is a laugh-out-loud reminder to think outside the box and embrace creativity. ☀️

To bring this vibrant story to life, we are going beyond the pages and rolling out a massive butcher paper roll with boxes of crayons right on the sidewalk! 🎨 Kids will get to work together on a giant community mural, and we’ll have coloring books on hand for everyone to show their favorite crayons some extra love.

Bring the kids out to enjoy the story, color outside the lines, and grab a delicious free lunch! 🍏

Just a reminder that a grown-up needs to stay on-site for the fun. See you at Highland!
