🎙️ Roots & Routes: From Waterloo to Financial Advising!

We welcomed Dave Eichenhoffer, Waterloo Class of 1991, to the first Roots & Routes podcast of the 2026-2027 school year to share his career journey with our students!

Dave, who now runs his own financial advising firm in Waterloo and Penn Yan, encouraged students to work hard, prove themselves, and choose a career that brings purpose and fulfillment. He also introduced students to the concepts of investing, the stock market, financial planning, and smart ways to start saving money—even with their very first job.

Dave’s Waterloo connection runs deep—his mom was a music teacher at WMS for 30 years! He also shared his appreciation for Waterloo’s commitment to financial literacy, including the financial literacy course offered to our sixth graders.

📚 Learning History Beyond the Classroom!🖤🧡

On Friday Waterloo students traveled to Rose Hill Mansion in Geneva for an immersive Civil War Day experience!

Students explored interactive stations featuring blacksmithing, cooking, infantry and artillery, all while gaining a hands-on look at life during the Civil War era. They even enjoyed the sounds of 18th-century music along the way! 🎶
