The second session of KidzRock 2026 is complete! After all the music, games, crafts and friends throughout the week, the kids gave some rocking concerts! Thank you to all who participated!

Production Camp 2026 is in the books with our largest class yet! U of I film major, Carter Routt, led the students through a a week of discovery and creativity with layering sounds and writing new music. It was so fun to hear the variety of music- from video game to hip hop & Jazz to scary movie background themes and a silly rendition of The Duck Song. The students had a great time creating and collaborating with new friends!

The first 2026 KidzRock camp is complete! The "Brown Fox Hunters," "Gold-Winged Scorpions" and "The 5 Fluffy Shepherds" jammed all week by playing games, learning instruments and meeting new friends. They gave a groovy concert at the end of the week for friends and family!

Last week, we hosted students and teachers from the Iowa Chamber Music Collective for their summer string camp! Based on the laughter, shenanigans and music, it seems the students had a fun and educational experience. Congratulations to the participants on all their hard work, and thank you for a great concert!

Recital season is here! Our students have worked tirelessly to prepare their pieces to perform for their studio mates, friends, and family. Recitals are a way to provide a goal for our students to pursue and to experience what it is like to perform for other people. We are all proud of our students' accomplishments and to hear the rewards of the 100s of hours of hard work that each of them have put in. Here are some pictures highlighting some of our students who have recently performed in recitals that were put on by some of our teachers: Chandar Boyle, Nikki Britzman, Christine Compton, Lora Heit, and Lydia Watkins.
