Waterloo FFA’s very own, Ava Scherle, was given the Gold Rating for her recordbook submitted for National Proficiency in Specialty Animal Production!!! Congratulations and well done, Ava!

Waterloo FFA has been named a 2-Star Chapter by National FFA!!! ⭐️⭐️

The National Chapter Award is based off an application written by the 2025-2026 officer team about their annual program of activities.

Members from the WHS chapter will be recognized on stage at the 2026 National FFA Convention this fall!

It’s been a fantastic start to the school year. We have the best students! 🧡

Apologies to anyone trying to buy lunch box snacks at the store right now, but when 600+ junior high students can sit respectfully for a half hour or so and listen to their new administrators explain rules and procedures, you gotta reward the good behavior! New Chromebook procedures, cell phone policies, and all kinds of other expectations were shared by grade level over the first two days. On top of that, everyone is learning new teachers, new schedules, and recovering from summer break sleep patterns. The first few days of school are A LOT. Waterloo JH students have handled everything like champs so far and we're proud of them! Happy Friday Bulldogs! Keep up the good work!

Before the doors open, the buses arrive, and the classrooms fill with noise, there is an entire team working behind the scenes to make it all possible. 🧹🛠️💻

Today we got together to thank our incredible 12-month and summer employees. While much of their work happens quietly in empty hallways during 10-hour summer days, their impact is seen and felt everywhere. They make sure our environment is safe, clean, welcoming, and ready for our students and teachers to thrive.

Help us give them the THANK YOU they deserve!!

Our teachers and administration are eagerly preparing for a great school year! Today, some of our team participated in a workshop led by Dr. Robert Thornell (author of Intentionally Bold) on Building a Culture of Rigorous Learning.

We are excited to bring these insights into our classrooms and can’t wait to welcome our students back next week!

Live outside of city limits? WCUSD5 students can get library cards for free! Simply take photo ID and proof of enrollment to Morrison Talbott Library to get signed up!

Welcome Back to the Library, Waterloo Bulldogs!

All Waterloo Community School District No. 5 students and full-time staff have public library access, thanks to an agreement between the school district and library being renewed for another school year!

Thanks to this partnership, Waterloo district students will be eligible to receive a student library card at Morrison Talbott Library regardless of where they live. Full-time staff that do not reside in another Illinois library’s district will also be eligible for library cards. Whether signing up for a new card or renewing your current one, parents and students, come visit us together with your photo ID and proof of your student’s enrollment. Staff, we’ll just need to see your photo ID and proof of district employment. For more details, please inquire at the library.

Skyward & Revtrak update:

The Skyward app and Revtrak continue to be down. Skyward engineers are continually working and we will update you once service is fully restored.

If you have not yet registered, please do so on a web browser. This feature is fully functional, however, you will not be able to pay online. Simply open the link and close out on that page. You can then pay on Skyward/RevTrak once it's back up.

If you would like to pay fines/fees via check/cash, please visit any school office Mon-Thurs 8am-3pm.
