SiHLE SiHLE is a program developed for African American females age 14-18

SiHLE comes from the Swahili word for beauty, a female name that means beautiful and is also an acronym fro Sisters, Informing, Healing, Living and Empowering. Research shows that African-American youth are at higher risk than that of their Caucasian or Hispanic peers for Chlamydia, Gonnorhea, and HIV infection as well as teen pregnancy and early parenting. We meet as a group a few different sessions, and as well as learning, we have lots of fun and get to meet new friends!
