Sometimes life asks us to do hard things. To take the leap when we're uncertain, to keep moving forward when the path feels challenging, and to trust that the sunshine is still on its way.

Our OTD students continue to demonstrate courage, resilience, and excellence as they push beyond their comfort zones and embrace new opportunities to learn.

The beauty of this journey is that every challenge they overcome prepares them to make a difference in the lives of others. Every skill learned, every fear faced, and every leap taken today becomes an opportunity to help a future patient tomorrow.

OTD 1 learning all about lymphedema! Getting hands-on experience in their Evolving Practice course while learning more about treatment and how OT can support clients with lymphedema. A huge thank you to Kate Eberle for coming in and teaching our students!

Today marked an exciting milestone as we welcomed participants for the 5th year of CAATS (Collaboration for Adaptive Aquatic Therapy & Safety)!

For five years, this program has demonstrated the power of collaboration in creating meaningful opportunities for children while providing hands-on learning experiences for Allen College occupational therapy students and University of Northern Iowa speech language pathology students.

We are especially excited to begin this year's program in a new facility, the Community Natatorium, alongside our valued partners at Cedar Falls Community Schools, and the City of Cedar Falls. Together, we are creating an opportunity where children can build confidence, develop water safety skills, and experience the joy of playing and learning in an aquatic environment.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of CAATS over the past five years. What began as a few volunteer students has grown to a wonderful collaborative experience! We look forward to sharing more photos as the semester progresses! Allen College - UnityPoint Health
