Come on out to the Vendor Fair at Skoi-Yase School on Saturday10am-2pm! We have amazing raffles and vendors with great things to sell, a Chicken BBQ for sale and Mark Pizza as well as concessions for purchase! The Easter Bunny will be visiting and an Easter craft will be available for the kids!

Yesterday Skoi-Yase got a visit from our local fire departments for Fire Safety Week! The kids got to see the gear they use to stay safe, talked about fire safety and practices we should be using in our homes to stay safe, and our teachers even joined in for some dress up!

These fun and festive boards are up in both Skoi-Yase (paper airplanes) and LaFayette (popsicles) as a fun way to welcome students back to school this year! Reminder!! Today is Skoi-Yase find your classroom day!! Students are welcome to walk with their family to find their classrooms and see all of the updates that were made this summer throughout the building! Please be mindful that the last of construction is being finalized and pardon the mess. Some teachers will be available in classrooms while others will not however all students UPK-2 are welcome! 12-4 today! Don’t miss out!

Skoi-Yase June FUN DAY 2022 was a total hit! We gathered for a celebration of the flag, said the pledge and sang Happy Birthday to the flag!🇺🇸

Our students of UPK-2 had a fun filled day of laughter, and sun ☀️ with some sidewalk chalk, yard games🏑🥏, a dance party with a jukebox🎤🎶, got a visit from the Cornell Cooperative Extension with a demonstration on making homemade ice-cream (and taste-test!)🍦, a bubble station filled with buckets and buckets of bubble fun😗🫧, visor making🧢, outdoor PE centers consisting of a giant parachute with hoola-hoops and basketball⛺️🏃🏻🏀, followed by some paper crafts! What an amazing day to be out celebrating friends, and school community with such beautiful weather!

This afternoon Skoi-Yase staff and students were able to participate in a terrific tradition! The high school seniors came dressed in their caps and gowns to parade through the school. The UPK students wanted to do something special from Skoi-Yase littlest learners to the Seniors who are spreading their beautiful wings and moving on. The UPK students were able to present each Senior with a sweet poem and a “class ring” aka a ring pop! The seniors LOVED the sentiment and could be seen giving high fives, fist bumping, and laughing it up with the students. The kids talked about it all afternoon saying how it was the best day ever!
