We are so excited to recognize Fort LeBoeuf Photography student Kathryn Kowalczyk, whose photograph from last yearâs Waterford Fair has been selected for the fairâs 2026 marketing and promotional materials!
Kathryn took the photo while participating in the FLB Photography class Waterford Fair Photoshoot Assignment and annual FLB Waterford Fair Photography Contest. As part of the assignment, our photography students attended the fair to photograph events, exhibits, animals, and the overall fair experience while gaining real-world photography experience.
Kathrynâs photograph features 4-H exhibitor Chase Proctor during the 4-H Beef Livestock Show and captures an intense moment as he focuses on the judge and waits for instruction.
Her image is now featured on the Waterford Fair premium book cover, brochure, and billboards throughout Erie and Crawford Counties. It is also being used in additional print materials and will be entered into statewide competition in all three categories.
Keep an eye out for Kathrynâs work! The Waterford Fair billboards featuring her photograph can be seen at 11 locations throughout Erie and Crawford Counties.
We are incredibly grateful to Kim Gates and the Waterford Fair Committee for continuing to involve our students and giving them opportunities to earn prizes, have their photography recognized, and gain meaningful real-world experience.
Mrs. Hodas will once again be taking Fort LeBoeuf photography students to the Waterford Fair this year for the annual FLB Waterford Fair Photography Contest, a competition exclusively for FLB students.
We canât wait to see what our students capture this year!
Congratulations, Kathryn! What an awesome accomplishment!
