Saturday September 26th from 2 - 4pm. Tickets can be purchased in our online store!

Petit Verdot has become a signature Virginia varietal. It is resistant to rain and it makes a bold, tannic big red wine. It is also very useful in blending as is done in Bordeaux.

This is a particular strength for Carriage House Wineworks with our very first Petit Verdot vintage earning a coveted spot in the Governor’s case In the Virginia Governor’s Cup competition.

Single varietal expressions are a rarity outside Virginia. In this class we will explore Petit Verdot’s from Virginia, Bordeaux, Uruguay, South Africa, and Italy. These are hard to find wines especially the 100% Petite Verdot Bordeaux included in this class.

Come join us and learn about Petit Verdot expressions from around the world.
