Crosby High School Army JROTC held it's 3rd Annual "Autumn Awakening" Breakfast Fundraiser to raise donations for competition drill rifles and unit Bulldog patches. Special mention to the Culinary Department for the bountiful harvest of breakfast delights and beautiful table display! Other highlights include student Mercy Allen's soulful performance with "I Saw Venus," the local Waterbury Fire Department who brought an equipment display to interest future recruits, VFW Auxiliary #201 who presented the program with a generous donation and then the Mayor and Superintendent Schwartz spent time with the cadets and posed for a group photo. It was a GRRREAT day at Crosby! GO BULLDOGS ~ ARMY STRONG!

On a hot, sunny October day, Crosby High School JROTC joined forces with Westhill High School for their 1st Annual JROTC Adventure Day, a dynamic team-building event designed to enhance cadet leadership, teamwork, communication, time management and other essential life skills. Cadets made friends, ate pizza, took up archery and played tug-o-war!

Early College High School is hosting their open house tonight at 5:30pm!

Crosby Cadets experienced excellent weather & sportsmanship on Saturday, 5/10/25, for their annual JROTC RAIDER Competition at New Britain High School, in New Britain, CT, which is a team-based tournament against other Army JROTC battalions from CT, MA and RI. Events included: Iron Man/Woman, Obstacle Course, First Aid, Rope Bridge Water Crossing and Team Run. GO BULLDOGS! CROSBY STRONG!

Crosby High School's new student orientation for incoming grade 9 students will be held on Tuesday, August 12, from 5:30 - 7:30pm!

The Connecticut Army National Guard celebrated Armed Forces Day with a state-level ceremony on Friday, 5/16/25. Crosby Army JROTC received formal invitation with introduction as the Color Guard for the distinguished ceremony. The Cadets enjoyed a festive lunch and had the honor to meet Major General Francis J. Evon, Jr., the CT Adjutant General. Overall, Crosby Cadets shared this experience with laughter, good food and a cherished lifelong memory!

Teacher Reunion - June 18th!!

For the Waterbury Public Schools Board of Education Appreciation Month, Crosby Army JROTC provided a Color Guard with 15-count manual of arms drill sequence by cadet/rifle bearers and the Pledge of Allegiance with cadence leaders to bring military honors, patriotic spirit and tradition to the evening’s festivities.

For the United Way of Greater Waterbury's promotion of National Reading Month in March, Crosby JROTC read their favorite story time books to instill the importance, creativity and joy of reading! The Cadets were invited by the eager preschoolers to stay afterwards and play games and arts & crafts for a fun day of learning and laughter!

For their recent Bulldog Pep Rally, Crosby Army JROTC provided a Color Guard complete with 15-count manual of arms by 1st-year cadet/rifle bearers, the Pledge of Allegiance and drill team exhibition with cadence callers to enthuse the student population with military honors, positive energy, motivation and school spirit.

Crosby Cadets finally got to meet their ROTC collegiate counterparts at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. The day trip comprised a campus tour including a walk-by Gampel Pavilion, Command & Staff Briefing, Field Training, a free lunch in the university cafeteria, and a photo with the school mascot, Jonathan the Husky.
