Day # 7 --- 250 Moments of Joy!
A Friendship That Started at CCS—and Lasted Nearly 20 Years!

Nearly 20 years ago, Pat Kugeman met a quiet second grader named Miles at Children’s Community School. What began as homework help grew into a lifelong friendship that helped shape both of their lives.

Today, Miles is preparing to graduate from college with a degree in Music Technology—and Pat will be there to celebrate with him!

Read their inspiring story in our upcoming online newsletter! And discover how one caring mentor can make a difference that lasts a lifetime. www.ccswaterbury.org

Day #6 -- 250 Moments of Joy! Pre-K Fun!

Did You Know? Children's Community School offers a year-round, fully accredited NAEYC early learning Pre-K program designed to help young learners. Even while our older students are out of the building for Summer Break, learning still continues.

Todays Joy - some of our Pre-K students had fun enjoying Toy Story Yoga and Freeze Dance! These fun activities help develop coordination, listening skills, creativity, and healthy movement while keeping learning exciting.

Day #5 --- 250 Moments of Joy!

Today, CCS welcomed some very special volunteers from Kelly's Kids! Their team spent the day washing windows, shredding, sweeping, and organizing our Family Food Pantry. Their hard work helped make our school an even more welcoming place for our students and families.

Kelly's Kids is a wonderful program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing opportunities to build skills, make connections, and give back to the community. We are thrilled to have them joining us once a week and are already grateful for the enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication they bring.

We look forward to many great days of partnership ahead! Thank you!

Day #3 --- '250 Moments of Joy'

Week Three of CCS Summer Bridges is off to a great start!

Today, our students were back at Brass City Harvest making breakfast burritos while learning that some peppers are sweeter than others (yellow)—and that onions really do make your eyes water! Thank you Ms. Michele and Ms. Nicole!

The rainy weather didn't stop the fun! We stayed indoors for a game of Hula Hoop Twister, filled with music and lots of silly smiles.

Every day at Summer Bridges is another opportunity to learn, grow, and create lasting memories. Stay tuned for more 250 Moments of Joy and opportunities to become a Champion of the Day!
