2015-2016 Massabesic's Best basketball team in school history and it's not even close. Finishing at 16-5 it was a "Magical Season," better than any other team by 8 wins. These boys took all of us through a special season, they taught us that if you play together as a team that there was nothing they couldn't accomplish. They packed the gym not only at home but on the road at other schools. Remember the Sanford Game and the line that wrapped around the school at 4:30pm for the 7pm game?

Our 4th Annual Massabesic Boys Basketball Golf Tourney went off without a hitch! We had great weather and the Golfers had a great time. Thank you to all the Parents who helped make this the best tourney yet! Thank you to all the Businesses who donated a hole sponsor and to Lakeside Market for the great Luncheon after the golfers were finished. We had over an hour worth of prize giveaways after the lunch thanks to our parents collecting them from area businesses. Lots of laughs throughout the day. Congratulations goes out to the winning golf team who was sponsored by the 57 Stallions Basketball Program - Jeff Nason, John Boissonneault, Jim Frechette, and Andy Gray.

LAST CALL for Golfers & Hole Sponsors! Our 4th Annual Golf Tourney is this Saturday July 28th at Dutch Elm in Arundel. This is a fun yet competitive tourney over the last 3 years. The 2018 Summer Basketball dates to start have been finalized. The first day of Summer Basketball will be Monday, June 11th from 7-9pm at Massabesic Middle School (we will be at the Middle school this whole week - Monday - Thursday). This summer will be challenging as the high school will be under some construction and we will be using alternate gyms in the district weekly. I will do my best to make sure the boys communicate this with the parents. Varsity games start on June 18th, 6pm vs. Sanford at South Portland H.S. just like last year. I will post schedule here and also give to players.

It's that time again to start planning for the 4th Annual Massabesic Boys Basketball Golf Tournament scheduled for Saturday, July 28th at Dutch Elm Golf Course. All Parents of players within the boys basketball program are encouraged to attend the first meeting on Sunday, May 20th at 6pm in the H.S. teacher's room. This is the largest fundraiser for the program and helps to pay for all players in H.S to have sneakers and other attire. Even if your son is a 7th grader or 8th grader you can be a part of the fundraiser as your son will also benefit in coming years. This meeting will last about an hour. Please park in back of H.S. near Softball field. This meeting will be 1 of 3 meetings and is the most important for planning and organizing. Hoping for a strong commitment from everyone to make this year's tournament more successful than any of the past 3 tournaments! See you Sunday evening!
