It’s all about the science of the natural lip tone, ladies!

Hue, saturation, and value (HSV) are like the secret superpowers of permanent makeup artists, and unlocking them can help you choose tattoo pigments that make your work POP and heal properly! ✨

But first we need to understand things in simple & Think of your lips like a blank canvas:

👩🏻‍🏫Hue: This is the basic just the color, like pink, blue, or brown.
👩🏻‍🏫Saturation: How intense is the color? Think vibrant vs. muted.
👩🏻‍🏫Value: Is it light or dark? Like a whisper or a shout?

✨ Now, the simple magic:

Cool undertones? Think rosy pinks and plum shades, with low saturation.

Warm undertones? Coral and golden pinks rock your world, with a bit more oomph on saturation.

Neutral vibes? Lucky you! You can play with both cool and warm hues, as long as the value suits the natural lip shade.

This is just a snippet of why simplicity in learning is so important. I’m not a scientist, neither are you so I’m not gonna try to sound like one. 5 Best Outlining Tips for you 👇🏼

"When it comes to eyebrows, outlining is an essential step to create a crisp, defined shape that will frame the face. The outline serves as a guide for the rest of the tattooing process and helps to ensure symmetry and balance in the final result.

To outline a brow tattoo, it is important to start with a clean and prepped surface.

💎Make sure your preliminary sketch of the brow shape is on-point and penciled thin to avoid unevenness.

💎For beginners, stretch one small area at a time using a 2 point stretch technique or 3 point for seasoned artists.

💎As you outline, be patient and slowly outlining your shape (you can either shade or just outline) Paying close attention to the natural contours of the client's face.

💎Wipe one small area at a time to ensure you have the right depth and it is giving a very light outline (remember, only should be able to see the outline because anything else will be too dark & take longer to blend in when you shade)

💎Nervous about the outline being too dark or not blendable? Use a lighter shade of your chosen color to outline & blend out better

It's important to remember that the outline is just the beginning of the tattooing process and you will use a variety of techniques to create a natural-looking finish.
