Wildcats at Work! 🐾

Caught some great things happening in classrooms this week!

Good instruction starts with good planning, collaboration, and a focus on what students need next. Proud to see that work happening behind the scenes and in the classroom.

October is Principal Appreciation Month!

We’re kicking off the month by celebrating the amazing principals who lead our campuses every day.

They wear a lot of hats, handle a little bit of everything, and always keep our students and staff at the heart of what they do.

We’re so thankful for Mrs. Lovaasen, Mrs. Cherry, and Mr. Danford and all they bring to Waskom ISD. We appreciate their leadership, their hard work, and the fun they bring to the job every day.

Help us show our principals some love this month!

🌧️Weather Planning Update for Waskom ISD Families

Waskom ISD is aware of the potential for significant rainfall across the state later this week. At this time, it is uncertain whether the heavier rainfall will reach our area.

We want to give families an early heads-up in case conditions change. If we do receive significant rainfall in our area, it could cause high water in low-lying areas and impact some of the roads traveled by our buses and families.

While no schedule changes are anticipated at this time, we encourage families to begin thinking about arrangements they may need if a delayed start or early release becomes necessary due to high water. We simply want families to have a plan in mind should the need arise.

If weather or road conditions create transportation concerns, Waskom ISD will notify families as soon as possible through ParentSquare, ClassDojo, and the Waskom ISD page.

As always, the safety of our students and staff will guide any decisions we make.

Go Wildcats!
