WOAH! We are officially off and running with our Charleston Wrap fundraiser!

In just a few days, you’ve accomplished something truly amazing. With 12 days left before we wrap things up, we’ve already raised $6,800! We are overflowing with gratitude for your incredible support—thank you!

Daily Prizes: Kids, don't forget to turn in your tickets to the office every day to collect your prizes!

Happy Friday!

A word that we keep throwing around MZE like confetti lately is “grateful”. We are so grateful to have a child-centered learning community that has worked hard to create such a meaningful learning environment for our kids. ❤️

Interested in learning more about how we approach conceptual learning at Machetanz? Join us for our Parent University on October 1st, 5-6pm! This is a one hour workshop built for you (parents!) to experience a day in the life of your child. We aim to help our parents better understand the language and instructional approaches we use every day with your kids through this experience.

Can’t find a sitter? Mrs. Homan will be monitoring the playground (school aged kids only) so you can have a kid-free learning experience with our teachers.

Check out first grade!

That’s a wrap! Apple week taught us about the parts of an apple, the life cycle of an apple and the many things we can make with apples 🍎 🍏 To celebrate, students used apples as stamps, did an apple taste testing activity, took a virtual field trip to an orchard, and made applesauce and pies to enjoy!

🎉 Huge welcome to our new Peer Mediators who completed their training today!

Our amazing new team spent the day mastering conflict resolution strategies, regulation skills, and learning how to help solve small problems during recess. They are so excited to step out onto the yard and support our 4th and 5th grade recesses starting next week!

A big thank you to these inspiring students for stepping up to help make our school community even more kind, respectful, and responsible. We are so proud of you! 👏🌟

🍎🍏 Apple Week in Kindergarten! 🍏🍎

We wrapped up our Apple Unit with a day full of hands-on learning, creativity, and, of course… apples! 🍎❤️

Our kindergarteners picked apples from our very own apple tree, made fun apple stamps, read red apple books, and learned all about the parts of an apple. 📚🍎🔍

To top it all off, all three kindergarten classes came together to make a delicious apple crisp! 🥧🍎 It was the perfect way to celebrate everything we learned—and it sure smelled amazing! 😋

What a sweet way to finish our Apple Unit! 🍎✨🍂
