We built a really nice gym👊🏽

We filled it with exceptional equipment, recovery, 24/7 access, and coaches who are really good at what they do.

But somewhere along the way, the thing we became most proud of had very little to do with any of that.

It’s the people who walk through the doors.

The ones who show up nervous. The ones who have been training for decades. The ones starting over. The ones chasing something big. The ones who just need an hour that belongs to them.

Different reasons. Different starting points. Same place.

Turns out, the best thing we built wasn’t the gym.

It was the room for all of them.

Inside Impakt👊🏽

For the first year Daron was a member, we watched him rehab an injury.

Day after day.
Month after month.
The quiet, repetitive work that happens long before there is anything worth applauding.

We knew what he was doing.

We didn’t know what it meant to him.

When we finally sat down to hear his story, we asked him why.

Why come back?
Why compete again?

His answer was one word.

“Opportunity.”

And somehow, that word said everything.

Not redemption.
Not proving anyone wrong.
Not a guarantee that all of the work ends exactly where you hoped it would.

Just the opportunity to find out.

To step back onto the floor.
To ask something of yourself again.
To see what is still possible.

And maybe, to leave something behind.

A story worth telling his grandkids someday.
Proof that when the opportunity was there, he was willing to fight for it.

There may not be a word that feels more Impakt than that.

For a year, we watched Daron fight for an opportunity without knowing that was the word he would use to describe it.

We thought we were giving someone an opportunity to tell their story.

We walked away genuinely honored that Daron gave us the opportunity to hear his.
