The end of the school year rapidly drew to a close with many activities; Field Day, Primary Prep Field Trip to the Reindeer Farm, the World Renewable Energy Competition in Madison Wisconsin. and the 4th Quarter Assembly were a few events in May. Thank you, AMC Staff and Families for supporting American Charter programs! We look forward to seeing everyone in August.

Congratulations to AMCβs Running Club students! Thirteen 4th & 5th grade students competed in the district track meet Saturday with all students doing amazing and Birdie Maixner earning 1st place in the 5th grade girls 1600 meter run! Thank you, Mrs. Yerbich for supervising Running Club year after year and thank you to AMC staff who have helped throughout the season. Thank you, Mrs. Kotyk, Mrs. Skiff, Mrs. Johnson, and Mr. and Mrs. Andrews for helping at the meet Saturday. Mrs. Yerbich said the day was long and cold, but no one complained; what a testament to the American Charter ethos. Thank you, AMC Families for supporting AMC programs. Way to go AMC! β€οΈπ€ππ¦

Today, Alaska Safe Riders talked to AMC middle school students about ATV safety. Students learned about helmets and the proper equipment to wear, how & why to make a safety plan before going on a trip, and ATV riding laws in the Matanuska Susitna Valley. Students had a first hand look at an ATV to understand doing a safety check of the machine. What would you enjoy doing after a long week of testing?? Students relaxed while listening to Mrs. Voigt read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
