Taxonomists are empowered by the thrill of the hunt, identifying plants through a multitude of distinctive characteristics. Leaf edge styles, such as toothed, serrated, or scalloped, stalk styles, like smooth, ribbed, or square, and leaf arrangements, including clasping or opposite, all play a role. And let's not forget the vibrant colors that bring plants to life. Join me on an introductory journey into the captivating world of Taxonomy! ,

🌿 Gentle Hiking in Hatcher Pass: Seeing Alaska through a faithful Lens.
There are places in Alaska that invite movement—and then there are places that invite stillness.
Hatcher Pass is the latter.
Tucked above the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, this alpine landscape doesn’t rush you. It opens slowly—through soft tundra, low-growing shrubs, and quiet trails that seem designed not for conquering, but for noticing.
And if you let it, it becomes more than a hike. It becomes a place to release gratitude and receive some healing.
🌸 What to Look For (If You Slow Down)
Gentle trails in Hatcher Pass reveal a layered world of plant life—often missed by those moving too quickly.
Alpine shrubs that stay close to the ground, conserving heat and enduring harsh conditions. . . What can they offer you? How have they helped others in the past?
DM me to set up your hike.
$35 per person per hr.
Starting June 1st
Herb walks (hikes)
Walking is great but what makes it so?
* It maintains a strong "Core" or helps rebuilds it if one has been bedridden. A strong core helps with a quality longevity as opposed to lethargic sedentary one. A sedentary lifestyle, accidendentily or on purpose, equates to a low quality life in terms of being able to enjoy activities.
