I was one of the volunteers, we learned about pottery and how firing pieces too fast is extra difficult. It was a two night camp on Big Lake. A very good experience all around.

What will you make during pottery class?
This introductory class includes necessary tools, materials, and guided instruction to overcome the challenge of learning how to use the pottery wheel. Class is 10-12 weeks, you can skip a few. Cost: $280. Classes are held at Valley Pottery, 4740 E. Greenstreet Cir, Unit C. 521-4640

Interested in a summer pottery class? In this class you will learn how to use the pottery wheel to make bowls and cups, how to use the slab roller to make useful dishes, and how to apply oxides and glazes to end up with professionally made pieces. This class opens the opportunity to sell at local markets, craft fairs, and holiday bazaars.
This class is for an adult who has free time either in the evenings or during the daytime.
This class will meet from May 21 to July 13. Instruction is at the three options below and there is extra studio time to work on projects. Course fee: $490, includes materials. Class is taught with the expectations of a university class without the pressure of grades. Part of the course fee is financing a new raku kiln to be used during the class.

Thursday: Pottery wheel! On Thursday classes are at 11 am and 6 pm. There is enough space for several beginners.
On Friday and Saturday I have special projects for anyone who shows up; carving or decorating cylinders. The Friday afternoon class is themed "dinosaurs".
