Press Release from ASAA regarding new sports registration system for High School athletes next year:

Beginning with the 2026–27 school year, the Alaska School Activities Association (ASAA) will transition to a new School Activities Reporting System (SARS) platform powered by Arbiter Registration.

Since 2018, ASAA schools have used the BigTeams (Planet High School) platform for student activity and sports registration. Last year, BigTeams was acquired by Arbiter. ASAA had already been evaluating Arbiter Registration prior to the acquisition and, after a review process, has signed an agreement to move forward with the Arbiter platform for SARS.

We are excited about the improvements and long-term support Arbiter Registration will provide to schools, students, and families. However, there will be one important change during this transition:

Parents and students will need to create a new Arbiter Registration account, as existing BigTeams account information cannot be transferred. Families should create one shared Family account rather than separate accounts for each user.

Parents and students may begin creating their new Arbiter Registration Family accounts starting July 6, 2026. To register, families should visit your school’s athletics/activities webpage and click on the Arbiter Registration link at https://students.arbitersports.com/redington-sr-jr-sr-high-school/redington-sr-jr-sr-high-school-athletic-form-registration-26-27, or go directly to the ASAA SARS registration portal at https://arbiter.io/products/student-registration-software/.

We understand this transition may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we move to the new platform.

What an incredible semester in Culinary Chemistry! 🧪🍳✨

This Quarter, our students explored the science behind food through hands-on labs, experiments, and creative cooking challenges. From candy chemistry and sugar stages to sous vide cooking, mousses, custards, meringues, crystals, fermentation, and flavor development, students learned how chemistry transforms everyday ingredients into amazing foods.

For their final exam, students created a showcase of everything they’ve learned this semester — explaining different chemical reactions in cooking, providing food examples and photos, and even designing their own recipes that demonstrate the science behind the dish. 👩‍🍳📚🔬

It has been so fun watching students grow not only as cooks, but as scientists, problem-solvers, and creative thinkers. We are so proud of all the hard work, curiosity, and teamwork they’ve shown this semester!
