Football HOMECOMING is next week!

We are so excited for jam-packed HoCo2026 - Spirit Week Monday-Friday (see flyer below) ALL students grades 6-12 are welcome and encouraged to participate!

We have Volleyball vs. Houston (4, 5, 6:30pm) on Tuesday AND Flag Football (5pm - SENIOR NIGHT) on Tuesday... come cheer on our Lady Huskies (remember: middle school students MUST have a parent or guardian with them to attend games)!

Student Assembly on Friday - grades 7-12 hosted by our Student Government!

Football will take on Kenai on Friday (JV @ 4pm, Varsity @ 7pm) - SENIOR NIGHT ceremony between games - Homecoming floats and festivities during halftime - AND Gorilla Fireworks will be putting on their AMAZING display following the game. (Remember: middle school students MUST have a parent or guardian with them to attend games)

After the fireworks, High School students (ONLY) are invited to the HoCo2026 Dance - On the Big Screen! Red carpet style for our Huskies. 10pm-Midnight - see flyer below.

***Attention Middle School Families***

It's time for middle school basketball and cheer! Redington Cheer is welcoming 6-8th grade team members at this time, and 7-8th girls and boys basketball begins TOMORROW!

All athletes must have a current sports physical and be registered on Arbiter (linked below) to begin practice.

Our coaches this year are excited to get season started - and we have some new coaches on staff! Coach Moore is joining our veteran, Coach Seymore, on the girls' side, and we have Coach Fuller and Coach Bowman on the boys side - they will be implementing skills, drills, and structure that will get our boys ready for participating at the high school level under our new HS Coach - Coach John Schirack (you may recognize him from the Football sideline!

Basketball practices will begin at 2:30pm tomorrow - Cheer starts at 4:30pm.

Write-up from our very own Coach Moore about our weekend conference football games in Homer on Friday and Saturday! Way to show up, Huskies!

🏈 A DOMINANT WEEKEND FOR REDINGTON FOOTBALL! 🐾

Friday night, our Varsity Huskies delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Homer 16–0 and securing a hard-earned shutout!

Saturday morning, our JV Huskies kept that momentum going with an impressive 35–6 victory over Homer!

Both teams played with heart, discipline, and toughness. From the starters to every player on the sideline, this was a complete team effort. Redington showed what can happen when everyone works together, trusts one another, and plays for the name across the front of the jersey.

We are incredibly proud of the entire team and coaching staff. Redington football had an amazing weekend!

A HUGE THANK YOU to our amazing Booster Club, parents, families, community partners, and everyone who continues to support Redington Football! Your hard work, encouragement, and dedication behind the scenes mean more to our players and program than you know. These victories belong to the entire Redington family!

Show me the money! $$$ Mr. Maki’s Personal Finance Class has recently been learning about creating budgets. This particular budgeting activity included having students draw numbers that were attached to different scenarios that included various family sizes, whether or not they had pets, along with varying levels of income.

The class then had a discussion about the types of categories that go into a monthly budget, along with estimated costs associated with each. Students were then tasked with subtracting their expenses from their take-home monthly income, in order to determine appropriate savings goals or to trouble shoot if expenses exceeded income.

THE Redington of the Redington Huskies in the news!

Isaac is a senior at Redington Jr./Sr. High, a school that opened 11 years ago in the Knik area known for its rich history of mushing and sled dog racing and is the great-grandson of Joe Redington Sr., the “Father of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.”
