Delicia Miniex- Monitor Technician Lead (EKG and Telemetry)

Delicia came to speak to Ms. Minix’s Allied Health Sciene class today about her medical career. This month the class will be learning about various medical careers from people who are in the field actively working. She came with great knowledge about her role as Lead Monitor Technician and also gave a small lesson on EKG’s and the different types of waves patients hearts produces. Delicia is also in school to come a Radiological Technologist where she will become a Cath Lab Technician. We truly Thank her for spending her Friday morning with our students educating them about a possible medical career they would like to have.

Thank you to the teachers and staff of Washington Career Extension Campus for their dedication over the summer to prepare our campus for the new school year. All teachers volunteered time to ready classrooms and support colleagues, demonstrating strong professional commitment and teamwork. Special recognition to Mr. Woods, Mr. Guillory, and Ms. Meche for installing our new floors, and to student workers Ja’Corian Edwards and Malachi Joseph for their valuable assistance.

How do you turn vision into actionable goals? At our 1st PLC at Washington Career & Tech Extension campus, educators used emojis and metaphors to articulate their classroom visions, set individual goals, and build a vision board centered on student growth targets. The session not only fostered engagement and collegial connection but also produced clear, personal plans for the year ahead. Special thanks to Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Zerangue, and Mr. Ford for bringing the vision board concept to life.
