Hands-on learning with the pros ✂️

We were excited to welcome Rolando Aqui and Education Dept of Hattori Hanzo Shears to TONI&GUY at Penn Commercial for a day of cutting education and hands-on learning!

Students learned about the differences between professional shears, including wet and dry cutting shears, and got to see how different tools and techniques can impact the finished result. Rolando demonstrated both a simplified haircut and a long layered haircut, explaining his approach along the way.

A few of our students even had the opportunity to step up, grab the shears, and work alongside him while receiving instruction in real time.

Today, our students had the opportunity to learn from Gennaro Cellurale of Pompadour Hair Salon, who joined us for a hands-on demonstration of two popular barbering techniques, the Drop Fade & Burst Fade.
