WWMS 1st Annual Chili Cook-Off! 🌶️

Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make our first annual Chili Cook-Off a success! We appreciate the teamwork, school spirit, and friendly competition that make WWMS such a special place to be! 🐅

What a great way to bring our WWMS family together! Thank you to our judges, Randy Fisher, Newton Gunter, Coach Brinson, and Ozhia Harris, for taking the time to taste and judge our grade-level chili entries.

It’s School Bus Safety Week! We all play a part in keeping our students safe.

Our community can help by slowing down and watching for children near bus stops and schools. Be prepared to stop when a bus’s yellow lights are flashing, and stop for flashing red lights and an extended stop arm.

Students should stay back from the road while waiting and wait for the bus to stop completely and the driver’s signal before boarding. Cross in front of the bus where the driver can see you, stay seated, and follow your driver’s directions.

Thank you to our transportation department, bus drivers, and bus monitors for the care, patience, and dedication you show our students each day. We appreciate all you do to get our students safely to school and home!

🐯💙 What a day in Perry! 💛🐯

Our Washington-Wilkes Middle School FBLA members had a blast at the FBLA Fall Motivational Rally at the Georgia National Fair! Our Tigers connected with chapters from across the state, got fired up about leadership and future careers, and still found time to enjoy the fair. 🎡

A HUGE thank you to CleanSpark for their generous donation to our chapter! Their support will help cover competition costs this year, so more of our students can compete and show what they can do. We are so grateful to have partners who believe in our kids. 🙌

Thank you also to our families for supporting these students. We are so proud of how they represented WWMS and Wilkes County!

This is just the beginning of a great year. Watch out, Georgia, our Tigers are ready! 🐾

What an incredible way to wrap up our Washington, D.C. field trip!

Yesterday, our WWMS students finished another exciting day with some fun and games at Dave & Buster’s! After a busy few days of learning and exploring, it was the perfect way to relax, have some fun, and make memories together.

This morning, students woke up and headed out for one more adventure at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, where they continued exploring and learning about our nation’s military history.

What an amazing trip filled with history, hands-on learning, new experiences, and unforgettable memories! We are so proud of our students and all they experienced along the way.

Students are almost home! ❤️ We know their families can’t wait to hear all about everything they learned, saw, and experienced on this incredible field trip!

🐯 WWMS Career Day 2026 – Part 1 🐯
What a day! Our Washington-Wilkes Middle School Tigers spent today learning from professionals across our community about the careers, skills, and paths that could be in their future. 💼🔧🩺🚒💻
Students asked great questions, got hands-on with real tools and equipment, and heard firsthand what it takes to succeed in the workforce. Watching them light up when something clicked made this day so worth it!
A HUGE thank you to every presenter who gave their time to invest in our students! We are so grateful for a community that shows up for our kids! 💙
