๐ŸŒŽโ˜€๏ธ Our Solar System Is HUGE! ๐Ÿชโœจ

Today, our 6th graders got to model the size of our solar system during science! They quickly discovered just how much space is needed to represent the distances between the Sun and the planets. Even walking heel-to-toe, we almost ran out of room! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

This hands-on activity helped our students see just how incredibly LARGE our solar system really is. ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿช

What a great way to bring science to life! ๐Ÿ”ญโœจ

The Million Can Challenge is BACK ON! โ™ป๏ธ๐Ÿ’™
Last year, Washington West collected an incredible 82,390 aluminum cansโ€”and our Blue Jays are already off to a huge start this year with 11,053 cans collected in just the first week!
Weโ€™re proud to be one of only two schools in Missouri participating and one of around 70 schools across the country taking part in the challenge.
Our recycling bin has officially been delivered, so start saving those cans and drop them off anytime. Every can counts!
๐Ÿฅซ Aluminum cans only, please!
โ™ป๏ธ Recycle. Compete. Make a difference.
๐Ÿ’™ Go Blue Jays!
A big thank-you to Shapiro and The Recycling Society for supporting this opportunity for our students!

The recycling contest is FINALLY HERE!

72 schools are competing to recycle the most aluminum cans. Not only that, these kids are learning the lifelong habit of recycling, which keeps valuable metal out of trash cans and back into your local economy.

These kids are saving our planet, one can at a time. ๐Ÿ’š We couldn't be more proud of these recycling superheroes. ๐Ÿฆธ โ™ป๏ธ ๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™€๏ธ

Support recycling education by donating today. ๐Ÿ’—
We thank you for your generosity.
