Mountain View Montessori environment and curriculum will thus be based on the freedom of a highly individualized and self-directed education within the specifically “prepared environment” of vertical (multi-age) classrooms, specialized didactic materials, careful teacher observation and guidance, and a strong commitment to the values of self-discipline and respect. MVM’s educational program will likewise include frequent opportunities for parental involvement, regular and specific assessment of progress, and ongoing web-based reporting. Assessment and reporting take place within a structure of explicit alignment between the Montessori curriculum and the Utah Common Core Standards.

Our 3rd graders had a wonderful day at Staheli Family Farm where they stepped into the shoes of young farmers! They created mini gardens, learned about the journey from farm to table, and happily pet the fluffy sheep, baby turkey and many other cute animals at the farm. It was a day of discovery, laughter, and hands-on fun that brought the magic of agriculture to life!

Our first Open House for families interested will be on Thursday, February 20th from 5:30-7:00 in the Elevated Activities Room.

You may arrive at any time after 5:30. The event will also be a “Looking Forward Night”. The night will be for any families who would be enrolled in Kindergarten through 7th grade next year.

Every teacher, subject, program and special event will be featured. It will be a “fair” type atmosphere with teachers and students managing booths built to best showcase a particular grade level, subject, activity or special program that MVM offers.
