Parking Information for Tomorrow Night

A few important changes to parking for Tiger stadium…

Tiger Circle is no longer an entrance into our parking area.

Reserved Parking: S. Pecan will be open. Anyone parking in Reserved Parking should travel on S. Pecan and enter through the blue entrance.

Red Entrance: This entrance is strictly for buses and emergency vehicles. The drive will not need to be blocked.

General Parking: All fans parking in General Parking should enter from Ashley Ave. and park in the designated grassy area.

***Please do not park on the side of S. Pecan. There are deep drainage ditches there now and we don’t want anyone getting stuck.

After the Game:
Reserved Parking will be able to exit through either drive. (Blue or red)
General Parking should exit back onto Ashley Ave.
Please be patient with us as we navigate this new parking situation, and help us by following the signs and directions.
Thank you so much for your patience and cooperation! Go Tigers! 🐯

We were honored to welcome Justin Old as the guest speaker for our countywide faculty and staff meeting last Monday. His presentation, “Perspectives Matter,” was a powerful reminder that our mindset shapes the way we lead, teach, and serve others. He challenged us to see opportunities instead of obstacles, embrace growth, and recognize the lasting impact a positive perspective can have on our students, colleagues, and school community.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Curriculum Associates for helping sponsor Mr. Old’s presentation and to CleanSpark for sponsoring our ice cream social for our teachers and staff. We are grateful for your partnership and continued investment in the educators of Wilkes County Schools as we work together toward Excellence Without Exception.

Every day counts! Thanks to the partnership of our students, families, and staff, Wilkes County Schools reduced chronic absenteeism from 17.9% to 14.8% last school year. Let's keep the momentum going by making attendance a priority this year. Check out our Attendance Insights below to learn how we're working together to support student success!

Wilkes County Schools has updated its Student Use of Technology policy to align with Georgia's Distraction-Free Education Act. This is not a new expectation. Students have never been permitted to use personal electronic devices during the school day. The updated policy simply clarifies expectations and includes a progressive discipline process.

Please take a moment to review the flyer below before the start of the school year. If you need to reach your child during the school day, please contact your school's front office. Thank you for partnering with us to maintain a focused learning environment for all students.

Wilkes County School Nutrition is pleased to announce that we will continue participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2026–2027 school year.

Through CEP, every student enrolled in Wilkes County Schools, from Pre-K through 12th grade, will receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch each school day at no cost.

The Community Eligibility Provision allows eligible school districts to provide free meals to all students, regardless of household income. No application is required, and families do not need to complete any paperwork or take any action for their child(ren) to receive these meals.

We are proud to continue providing healthy, nutritious meals that support our students' learning, growth, and success throughout the school year.
