The child care crisis is real – 513 child care centers in PA are closed!
The latest data from OCDEL show that since March of 2020, 513 child care providers have closed their doors. Let’s play that out – if each provider was caring for 20 children, that’s 10,206 families locked out of the child care and unable to work. If nothing changes this November, that number will continue to rise.
The childcare system will collapse if we don’t elect more childcare champions to Harrisburg in this upcoming election!
We’ve already asked all candidates in PA to sign our pledge and fill out our candidate survey, but only half have responded. Half of the candidates either don’t care or don’t get it! WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Check out the candidate survey and pledge page right now – are we still waiting for your candidate to commit to saving child care? CLICK HERE and demand that they tell us what they’ll do for early learning! Research shows that as few as 15 people emailing a state representative about the same topic will garner a response from their office – CAN YOU PLEASE GET 15 FRIENDS to email your representative this week!
TELL EVERY CANDIDATE THAT YOU ARE A CHILD CARE VOTER!
Our child care voters MUST go to the polls in November, but to get important updates between now and then be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram!
Onward!
All the best,
Kyle
