As I reflect on my dad and what he was to the school he founded I’m reminded of one of his favorite quotes

“Seek not to imitate the master, rather seek what he sought.”

From the moment I met you, your passion for martial arts and life was evident. You never stopped pushing us, or yourself. Never stopped learning. Never stopped loving others and the arts. Patient but stern, loving but real. Your knowledge for the arts was so great. Your passion for building a dojo based on hard work and family was clear in every action you took. I am a better martial artist, teacher and man because of you. Your legacy will live on in your students and ours. And we will keep seeking, hoping along the way we can imitate all the best parts of you. I love you dad, always until I see you in Heaven.
