What a wonderful first week at SFBGS! πŸ’™πŸ’›
Our Knights reviewed expectations, made new friendships, learned new routines, and discovered what it means to SHINE LIKE A KNIGHT! βš”οΈβœ¨

This year, our KNIGHTS are learning to live out:
K – Kindness
N – Noble Actions
I – Inclusion
G – Gratitude
H – Humility
T – Trustworthiness
S – Service

We are already seeing these qualities shine throughout our school community! 🌟

Here’s to a year to Worship β€’ Serve β€’ Proclaim as we grow together as Missionary Disciples of Christ. πŸ’™πŸ’›
Great first week, Knights! Keep shining! βœ¨βš”οΈ

It is with profound sadness and hearts full of gratitude that we share the passing of L.B. Ecklekamp, a truly cherished member of our Parish, School, and the greater community.

L.B. lived a life that reflected the Gospel in countless ways. A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, he placed faith and family at the center of everything he did. His generosity knew no bounds, and his quiet acts of kindness touched more lives than can ever be counted. As a faithful parishioner, a steadfast supporter of Catholic education, and a philanthropist with a heart of gold, L.B. continually sought ways to lift others up, asking for little in return.

His legacy is not simply found in the many gifts he shared, but in the countless hearts he inspired. He possessed a rare humility, a genuine compassion for those in need, and an unwavering commitment to serving God and neighbor. His presence brought warmth, wisdom, and joy to every room, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we mourn this tremendous loss, we also give thanks to God for the extraordinary blessing that L.B. was to so many. May we honor his memory not only with our prayers, but by striving to live as he didβ€”with generous hearts, steadfast faith, humble service, and unconditional love for one another. If each of us becomes just a little more like L.B., the world will undoubtedly be a better place.

Please join us in praying for the repose of L.B.'s soul, for comfort and peace for his beloved family, and in giving thanks for a life so beautifully lived. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

Field Day fun was had by all! β˜€οΈ

We kicked off the day with an outdoor Mass, followed by our opening ceremonies before the friendly competition began! From start to finish, it was a day full of teamwork, laughter, and school spirit.

We wrapped up the day by saying farewell to our 8th graders as they celebrated their final day at school. We are so proud of them and wish them the very best in the next chapter of their journey! πŸ’™πŸ’›
