On February 27, 2023 from 1:00-4:30PM PT, Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Medicine will host the 4th Kyoto University Life Sciences Showcase at UC San Diego. This event primarily aims to introduce Japanese biotech venture companies to US investors, but foreign companies and researchers are also welcomed to participate. Many Japanese investors are following this event, so it would be an excellent opportunity to expand in Japan.

On February 28, 2023 from 1:00-5:00PM PT, Kyoto University’s three on-site labs in North America are co-hosting their 1st Joint Symposium titled: Transformative Innovations in Medical and Life Sciences. This inaugural event will take place at UC San Diego in the Roth Auditorium, Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine. The symposium features keynote speaker Dr. Shinya Yamanaka, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine 2012, and technical presentations on stem cell and reprogramming; quantum science, nanomedicine, radiation therapy; and cancer immunotherapy. The symposium will be followed by a reception at the Bella Vista Cafe. Kyoto University leadership, including President Nagahiro Minato, will attend the special symposium.

Kyoto University Research Center San Diego will hold the 3rd Kyoto University Life Science Showcase Diego 2022 on Tuesday, March 1st from 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm PST (5:00 pm - 8:30 pm EST) .
Designed to be of particular interest to the Angel, Family Office and VC investor communities, and potential strategic alliance partners, the Showcase will feature virtual presentations from 16 selected Life Science companies from Japan and the US seeking funding and strategic alliances.

Kyoto University is pleased to announce “2022 Kyoto University Amgen Scholars Program”, a summer undergraduate research program in science and biotechnology sponsored by Amgen Foundation. It is an eight-week program from June 7 to August 6, 2022.
Application is now open and will be closed at 3 p.m. on February 1, 2022, Japan Standard Time [UTC +9:00hrs].
