She’s 6. And she handled that completely on her own. 🙌
No prompting. No coaching in the moment. Just a little girl who’s been practicing confidence, responsibility, and independence at home.
This is the whole point.
We don’t raise kids to need us forever. We raise them to show up - in the small moments and the big ones.
That’s exactly why I created NexGen Leadership Lab.
32 leadership concepts. 4 levels.
Language simple enough for a 5 year old.
Concepts powerful enough for a teenager.

Children are taught what to learn every day.
But big values like responsibility, integrity, and initiative are often harder to explain — and even harder to practice.
NexGen Leadership Lab™ was designed to make character simple, visible, and clear in everyday life at home.
A practical series for families who want to be just as intentional about who their children are becoming as what they are learning.

“Clean up your toys” felt clear to me.
It wasn’t clear to them.
So I changed the language:
put it back exactly where it belongs.
That shift didn’t just fix the mess;
it built responsibility.
Because kids can’t practice what they don’t understand.

They made their own breakfast this morning, and I loved seeing that independence.
What I didn’t love was the mess they left behind.
And while it would’ve been faster for me to just clean it up myself, I knew this was one of those small moments that mattered more than it looked.
So I paused, called them back, and had them clean it up.
Because independence is important;
but responsibility has to grow with it.
This is how we build ownership at home.

They teach math, science, and reading… but who teaches character?
School teaches so much, and that matters. But character, integrity, responsibility, and confidence deserve to be taught on purpose too.

Every parent wants their child to grow into a good human.
But character isn’t built in one big moment.
It’s built through small conversations that happen again and again.
NextGen Leadership Lab was created to make those moments simple.
Each week introduces one leadership value and a short conversation that helps kids understand what it looks like in real life.
Just a few minutes. One week at a time.

Parents spend thousands of ordinary moments raising their children.
Getting in the car.
Driving to school.
Packing lunches.
Bedtime conversations.
Those moments are where character begins.
As a parent, I started thinking about the kind of adults our children will one day become. The teachers, leaders, friends, and community members others will depend on.
That’s why I created NexGen Leadership Lab™.
It’s a simple weekly leadership series designed to help families talk about integrity, kindness, responsibility, and confidence in ways kids actually understand.
Four levels.
Eight weeks each.
Built for real family life.
