Digital Pioneers Academy is a public middle and high school in Southeast DC open to all students.

This week, students across world will study computer science as at part of the "Hour of Code." At DPA, computer science is more than a once-in-a-year activity. Our scholars study computer science an hour each day.


DC's public school fair is back in person and this Saturday, December 9th is an opportunity for new and interested high school families to meet us. Share with a friend!

The DPA application for new scholars for the 2024-2025 school year will open on Monday, December 11th. Be sure to apply in December to help ensure your child will have a seat at DPA.

Last week, Mrs. Ashton had the opportunity to testify at a DC Council hearing on public safety. She spoke to honor the four beloved scholars we lost last school year to gun violence—Antione Manning, Jakhi Snider, DeMarcos Pinckney, and Jaylin Osborne--and to urge the Council to provide more resources to promote safe and healthy public schools.

We were grateful to have D.C.'s Deputy Mayor for Education Paul Kihn visit our school this week. He observed DC's first computer-science focused middle and high school, and saw our known, loved and respected community in action. Thank you for meeting with our students and teachers and for your continued support and encouragement.


We continue to celebrate 🎉 National Principals Month by recognizing Ms. Williams, our Middle School Head of School. Ms. Willians is committed to ensuring that every DPA student is known, loved ♥️, and respected and every teacher receives the coaching needed to enhance their skills and grow professionally.
