Acton Academy of Washington, DC is a Montessori preschool and student-centered elementary and middle school. Acton Montessori is a beautiful, nurturing, and challenging Montessori program for children ages 3-6. Acton Elementary (grades 1-5) is Montessori reimagined for the 21st century, combining individualized and project-based learning with Socratic discussions. In Acton Middle School (grades 6-

8), students engage in individualized learning, Socratic discussions, real-world projects, and apprenticeships. Acton offers an all-day program in a comfortable home-like setting in a historic row house on K St in Foggy Bottom. Parents may drop their children off anytime between 8 and 8:30am and pick them up anytime between 4 and 5:30 pm (Montessori) and 4:45 and 5:00 pm (elementary and middle school). Acton's location in Foggy Bottom is convenient to families who commute to the K Street area from many neighborhoods in the DC area, including Georgetown, Dupont Circle, the Palisades, Glover Park, Cleveland Park, Woodley Park, Adams Morgan, Mt. Pleasant, Columbia Heights, as well as Arlington, Falls Church, and other neighborhoods in Virginia.
