Everyoneβs home safe and sound β€οΈ
On our final day, we lived like the locals do: taking the Metro all day and everywhere! We toured the United States Capitol, saw the Supreme Court, chatted with an actual congresswoman, and explored the National Museum of African American History and Culture π

What an exciting last day in DC!
Students met Representative Gwen Moore at the steps of the Capital Building, ran around the Washington Monument, navigated the DC metro, and reflected in the Smithsonian Museum of African American Museum of History and Culture.

We all safely arrived to DC yesterday evening. Starting our first day bright and early at Georgetown University. Here we go!

Our final D.C. day was spent walking around the historic Georgetown University, viewing founding documents, like the Declaration of Independence, at the National Archives Museum, strolling through Chinatown, and admiring art at the National Portrait Gallery. We are leaving Washington D.C. feeling tired but inspired.

We had a busy day! We went to the White House, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, toured the Capitol, and visited the Jefferson, Lincoln, Vietnam War, & Korean War Memorials! We even got to see some cherry blossoms πΈ
