this weekend, katie garr (dir. of marketing, mc spring ‘26) and avery deyoung (vp of philanthropy, mc spring ‘25) attended sigma kappa’s 92nd convention in st. louis, missouri! here’s what they had to say about their experience!

katie says, “convention was incredible! as a newer member to the sorority, it was such a privilege to see so many sisters in one place, whether they’d just met or known each other for decades. each event was educational and gave me great insight and ideas to bring home to our chapter! it was an honor to represent lambda eta during this unforgettable weekend and i hope to attend again as an alumna someday.”

avery says, “i am so grateful for the opportunity to attend this years convention! i got to learn from women of all generations what it means to truly embody being a sigma kappa. the true friendship, loyalty, and kindness in these women is genuinely inspiring. i’m going home with a strong sense of sisterhood and ideas to make our chapter stronger. it was an honor to be apart of the planning for the future of my sorority!”
