sigma kappa is always incredibly proud to support the alzheimerā€™s association! today, we attended the walk to end alzheimerā€™s on the national mall. nothing feels better than watching our fundraising work over the last few months pay off, and it was moving to see how many people in the dmv volunteered their saturday morning in support of an end to alzheimerā€™s.

thank you to our wonderful director of philanthropy, avery deyoung, for helping us all stay organized and reach our fundraising goal! with her help, we raised over $6,500 to benefit the alzheimerā€™s association. thank you avery! šŸ•ŠļøšŸ’œ

As weā€™re continuing to move through our fall COB process, we wanted to highlight one of our lovely members, Livvie, who joined through the COB process in spring ā€˜26! Hereā€™s what Livvie says about her experience:

When I was first introduced to SK, I had a gut feeling that COBā€™ing would be one of the best decisions I ever made. From a connection to our main philanthropy and seeing myself in the values we cherish so deeply, I knew that this was the chapter for me. While being a COB can be extremely intimidating, I can say I have truly never felt more welcomed. If you are looking for a more relaxed yet still exciting recruitment process, the continuous open bid is the best way to do so. The process was simple, and I still got to experience and celebrate every big moment. I feel so fortunate to have formed lifelong bonds, gained leadership experience, and continuously be reminded to live with heart. I am so excited for my forever journey as a Sigma Kappa!
